Almond Cake
with Orange Syrup
Ingredients:
4 eggs separated
½ cup of
sugar
Grated peel
of 1 orange
3,5oz
almond flour
For orange
syrup:
Juice of 1
orange
4,5oz
powder sugar
Peel of 1
orange Juliane cut
2 tbsp
orange liqueur
Directions:
Whisk egg
yolk and sugar, add grated orange and almond flour, mix well. Beat the egg white
till hard, peks. Fold the egg white into the almond flour mix till becomes a
soft cream. Pour it in baking pan with the hole in the center and bake in a pre
heated oven for about 20 minutes.
For the
syrup:
Cook the
orange peel for about 10 minutes, drain and return to pan, add the orange juice
and powder sugar, mix well and boil 4 minutes and add the orange liqueur and
boil for another 2 minutes.
Turn the
cake into a cake plate pour the orange syrup over the cake and decorate with
the orange peel and almond bladed.
